The internet is an amazing place. YOu can find free advice on almost anything you want. However, there are a lot of scam artists and bad advice out there as well. You should take a little extra caution, and make sure that the information you are getting will work.
1. Check multiple sources-- Double check the information that you find. Sometimes the people writing the advice you are looking for don't have a clue as to what they are talking about. Take a few minutes and look at what several sites have to say, especially if they are trying to tell you to spend some of your hard earned money.
2.Check out the people giving advice- Why should you trust them? Have they been able to help others? look for any information stating that this site is a scam, or if they have any kind of reputation at all.
