If you stand near the middle of the Mini Mal then you will get great stability and predictable handling and because the Mini Mal is quite light you can control the board more easily which is great for beginners as it makes it easier to learn to surf. The Mini Mal is fantastic in choppy conditions or when the surf is not very big which allows surfers to keep surfing in difficult conditions for longer.
