The 2012 Mayan Prophecy Is Less Than Two Years Away
Mother Nature appears to be playing hardball. Is there any connection between the natural catastrophes and the 2012 Mayan Prophecy? 2012 is less than two years away. Of course, anything can happen in two years. Scientists, archaeologists, physicists, and anthropologists, among them cannot and do not agree on the translation and the meaning of the Mayan Codex. Maybe the scientists cannot agree, but there are plenty of others willing to fill the void of the mystery of the Mayan Calendar. New Age gurus, filmmakers, conspiracy theorists, you name it they have their opinions. The most recent example is the movie extravaganza, '2012'.... [Read More]

December 2012 Survival - Are You Ready?
By now most people are well aware of December 21, 2012. The question is are you ready? Whether you believe in the predictions for 2012 or not, we  should all be prepared for any calamity that may befall us.   2012, the movie, painted a horrific picture of worldwide calamity and destruction. My first inclination had been to discount all the hype and drum beating as nothing more than Hollywood marketing.   One would think that science could quickly put an end to all the predictions as nothing more than profit motivated fear mongering. Unfortunately, the  science that  is available gives some credence to those believing in the Mayan 2012 prophecy. Science adds a little doubt to the naysayer's objections.   Get your Free 15 page 2012 Official Countdown Report h... [Read More]

Jesse Ventura and the End of the World
Most people know of Jesse Ventura, the ex pro wrestler and ex governor of Minnesota. You are impressed by his boldness or you laugh at his off-the-wall comments. What does he have to do with the end of the world? He is into conspiracy theories. In one of his TV shows he uncovered a little publicized scientific fact that I found very curious.   Undeniably, Jesse Ventura's character colors any response to his declarations. Nonetheless, in this particular program a guest, Joseph Lawerence, refers to a government report that is frankly disturbing. Why hasn't the media given it more coverage?   The report was commissioned by NASA and confirmed by the National Academy of Science. It forecasts a peak in solar activity in 2012-2013. It is not that the Sun's activity is any different th... [Read More]

2012 - The End of the World and The Science of It All
Hollywood just released its latest doomsday movie, 2012. If your are into special effects, then this a movie to see. If your looking for information on the Mayan 2012 prophecy, you will disappointed. There is however more science in that movie than all that has been written about 2012 and the end of the world. Why can I say that? Think of the technology that went into creating the special effects of that movie. I swear it looked like real life photography. Hordes of people fell into crevices deeper than the eye could see, buildings crumbled to the ground, and tsunamis drowned the coastline. It was like a National Geographic photographer was filming the whole event. Obviously, the idea for the movie came from Roland Emmerich's knowledge of the Mayan prophecy, but it was hardly mentioned i... [Read More]
