Articles on racism in the news media have a big influence on how other people see races such as Asians and African-Americans even if they state that it does not. Unfortunately a lot of the focus is on the bad, especially when it comes to drug use, the various crimes happening in most cities, and violence as a result of gangs. There is no doubt for several years, the media contributed to the perception of the people about African-Americans and races other than white Americans.

One of the factors that may have contributed to this type of image particularly with African-Americans is because of the discrimination and the oppression that they experienced centuries ago. Some were still experiencing this racism up to now. They have created a notion that other races are Class B or Class C citizens.

Because of the media as well, some of those that belong to these races no longer strive to achieve something. They do not gain interest on schools anymore but rather they try to be successful...
